What we provide

YMCA is the largest voluntary sector provider of services promoting health and wellbeing in England. We recognise that health and wellbeing is the bedrock that enables people to develop in all areas of their life, from education and employment to relationships and social networks.

Services currently delivered by YMCAs include sport and physical activity programmes, mental health services, drug and alcohol programmes, young person led health education projects, exercise referral programmes as well as facility management.

Nationally, we have a federation Health and Wellbeing Strategy that plots the way forward through to 2017.

YMCAs run or own 54 gyms
We have nine swimming pools
29 leisure centres/complexes
26 multi use games areas (such as football, basketball)
48 community halls (for leisure use)
Eight outdoor activity venues
