Health and Wellbeing

What we provide

YMCA is the largest voluntary sector provider of services promoting health and wellbeing in England.

We recognise that health and wellbeing is the bedrock that enables people to develop in all areas of their life, from education and employment to relationships and social networks.

Services currently delivered by YMCAs include sport and physical activity programmes, mental health services, drug and alcohol programmes, young person led health education projects, exercise referral programmes as well as facility management.

Nationally, we have a Health and Wellbeing Committee that helps move our offer forward. Our federated structure means we are able to deliver services both nationally and locally.

If you are interested in working with YMCA to help everyone enjoy the benefits of good health and wellbeing, then get in touch.

YMCAs run or own 54 gyms
We have 48 community halls (for leisure use)
29 leisure centres/complexes
26 multi use games areas (such as football, basketball)
9 swimming pools
8 outdoor activity venues
