We run a number of programmes to support YMCAs in their work with young people. Ensuring quality - YMCA Insync StandardsInsync is a tailored accreditation scheme which ensures that YMCAs are providing the best quality services to young people and communities. YMCA Insync Standards, developed by YMCA England in 2007, help to improve and develop services and ensure that best practice is being shared among YMCAs. YMCA Insync Standards are endorsed by the Charity Commission. For more information on Insync, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The BEST project supports schools, local authorities and other partners to build sustainable services for children and young people, such as breakfast and after-school clubs, holiday play schemes and parenting programmes. The services we provide include childcare, study support and activities which assist the development of children and young people, whilst giving young people a safe place to be before and after school. These services help to improve the motivation, attendance and attainment of pupils in school and to reduce school exclusion rates. For more information about the project, please contact

. Still Aiming High (2008-2011)Still Aiming High aimed to increase the skills of youth workers, making YMCAs more effective in supporting young people. Ending in 2011, Still Aiming High saw 197 people from 44 YMCAs taking part in training . “Still Aiming High has ensured several staff can be trained to enhance their youth work skills. This means we now have a dedicated sexual health advisor and an education coordinator, who can implement many of the courses offered, such as alcohol awareness and art programmes.” West Kent YMCA Read the the Still Aiming High Impact Report. |
