Make your gift to the YMCA worth even more – at no extra cost to you If you are a UK tax payer, we can receive a further 25p for every £1 you are giving – or have given. That really can make a difference!
Are you a higher rate taxpayer? You can claim money back through your annual tax return. Essentially, you can claim the difference between the basic rate of tax (20%) and your rate of tax (either 40% or the additional 50%). In addition, you can re-donate your reclaimed tax back to the YMCA and use Gift Aid again with the same benefits as above. Example of what you can claim back if you are a higher rate taxpayer
If you would prefer to send a donation through the post, please complete and return this Gift Aid Form and send it with your donation to: FREEPOST YMCA ENGLAND Please make cheques payable to YMCA (for YMCA England). To make a donation to your local YMCA, simply make your cheque payable to them, eg: "YMCA Manchester". This is because the government’s Gift Aid scheme allows us to reclaim tax on donations. For your donation(s) to be eligible for Gift Aid you must pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax for each tax year (6 April one year to 5 April the next) that is at least equal to the tax that the YMCA reclaims on your donations in the appropriate tax year.
