YMCA Cornwall is situated in a residential area just on the edge of Penzance town centre, in the far west of Cornwall.  The YMCA site is within easy walking distance of major transport links.  Our friendly Reception staff offer 24 hour cover, 365 days a year so that our doors are never closed to you however late you arrive and someone is always on hand for help and advice.

The YMCA Backpackers' Hostel is uniquely placed to offer affordable overnight accommodation in a convenient location, perfect for exploring the local area and experiencing some of the best festivals and events in Cornwall, some of which take place right on our doorstep.

Penzance YMCA is more than just a hostel for backpackers.  As well as our 53-bed backpackers' hostel with kitchen and laundry facilities, broadband internet access and a large common room with Sky TV and pool table, our site also has several meeting rooms, a dance studio and sports hall.  These rooms can be hired for functions, meetings, conferences or activities and are used regularly by community groups.  We also offer supported housing for up to 30 young people and can help with housing advice for any young people between the ages of 16 and 25.
