By being part of Team YMCA, you not only get the opportunity to take part in exciting challenge events, but you'll also be raising valuable funds to help young people build a better future.
However, we know it's tough to commit to training for an event, and raise money at the same time. That's why we've put together a support package, depending on the event you do, that will keep you going every step of the way.
All our Team YMCA runners receive the following:
- Dedicated support from YMCA England's Fundraising Team
- A Fundraising Guide full of useful tips and templates
- An online sponsorship page at www.justgiving.com
- Media support from our Press Team, to get your story noticed
- Opportunity to get in touch with fellow runners and share training tips and fundraising ideas
- A Team YMCA Running Vest, so that we can spot you in the crowd.
For our BUPA Great North Run runners, we'll include:
- A 9-week Half-Marathon Training Guide and Training Log to take you through each week of your preparations, and help you stay on track
- A Half-Marathon Nutrition Guide, with tips on how to stay fuelled during your training.
For our VIRGIN London Marathon runners, we'll include:
- A 16-week Marathon Training Guide and Training Log
- A Marathon Nutrition Guide
- A Team YMCA Cheering Point at Mile 6, where we will be cheering on you on!
- Access to the YMCA Post Race Reception, with massages, refreshments and a chance to relax and meet your supporters after the race.
