Inspiring couples who met through their involvement with local YMCAs across the country are being highlighted in celebration of Valentine’s Day today.
As the largest youth organisation operating in almost 660 different communities in England and Wales and impacting on the lives of more than 600,000 people every year, YMCA provides many opportunities to bring people together and for cupid to do his work.
Denise Hatton, Chief Executive of the National Council of YMCAs in England and Wales, said:
“At YMCA, we see each other as family and what better way to celebrate the movement’s family spirit then by highlighting some of the many families and couples who started out at local YMCAs up and down the country?
“From staff members to volunteers and more, many couples have found love and built a live together thanks to local YMCAs.
“On this special day where love is celebrated across the world, we want to give back and share some love with our global YMCA family and everyone else by highlighting some of the inspiring love stories of our Y-couples.”
