Youth Matters Awards is the annual YMCA young people’s awards. Young people, staff and volunteers from YMCAs across England and Wales are honoured every year for their outstanding achievements, inspiring feats against adversity and tireless dedication to provoke change. Thirteen coveted awards are up for grabs across a series of diverse categories during an inspiring night of celebration and recognition in central London.
The awards are judged by YMCA leaders, industry experts and young people. This year’s event takes place on Friday 8 November.
The judging panel was made up of YMCA leaders, YMCA youth ambassadors and professionals from across various sectors, whittled down over 100 nominations across 13 different categories. Members of the public voted from 12 – 26 August and picked their favourite from each award category.
An additional the Red Triangle Award and the We Believe Award will be deliberated on ahead of the event at the 8 Northumberland Avenue and will be announced on the night.
