After months of nominations and weeks of deliberation, the judges have shortlisted semi-finalists from a record number of nominations for the prestigious Youth Matters Awards ceremony, ahead of a public vote due to open in August.
The judging panel, made up of YMCA leaders, YMCA youth ambassadors and professionals from across various sectors, whittled down over 100 nominations across 11 different categories. You can view the full list of semi finalists in our Youth Matters section.
Young people and YMCAs shortlisted will now go to a wider vote from 8 August where members of the public will be able to pick their favourite from each award category.
An additional Red Triangle Award will be deliberated on ahead of the event at the 8 Northumberland Avenue on Friday 2 November, and the We Believe Award will be announced on the night.
Youth Matters Awards is the annual YMCA young people’s awards. They have formed an essential part of YMCA’s calendar since 2009.
