Situated just off Tottenham Court Road in the heart of London, Central YMCA Club is one of the capital’s finest health, fitness and social clubs.
Central YMCA was established in 1844 and is the world’s first YMCA. From their HQ in the heart of London, the charity works at local, national and international levels. The charity champions the benefits of physical and creative activities and how they can lead to a healthy mind, body and spirit.
Central YMCA is involved in all aspects of health based activity from training and qualifications to direct delivery and advocacy. The charity is made up of the following operations:
Central YMCA Club – The club is Central London’s largest health, fitness and activity centre with over 6000 members and it has recently benefited from a massive £2.6m investment. The club is home to a wide range of classes and exercise referral programmes.
YMCA fit – A leading national provider of training and education services for the fitness and exercise industry and more broadly around activity for health. Established in 1984, to date YMCAfit has trained over 80,000 students.
YMCA Training – It is our training provider for young people – delivering training courses and apprenticeships to help them find the path that’s right for them.
CYQ – Develops and awards fitness qualifications which are delivered through a range of institutions including private training providers, schools, colleges and universities.
Y Touring – National theatre company which creates high quality theatre and drama on a range of topical issues and tours schools across the country.
One KX – Activity and arts centre based in King’s Cross. One KX provides a range of education, opportunities and activities for the community and its vision is to make King’s Cross a healthy and learning community.
