YMCA Crewe is a well-established provider of supported accommodation for people who have experienced homelessness. We have a 55-bed project in Gresty Road, as well as outreach and accommodation services for people sleeping rough. We have a separate accommodation project for parents and children, and a number of move on properties around Crewe. We also provide accommodation services for young people who are leaving care and unaccompanied children seeking asylum. We provide a floating support service that enables people to settle independently and supports people who are at risk of becoming in the future. Our ‘In Communities’ service has a growing number of children and youth clubs and activities across Crewe. We have a number of parenting groups that meet on local estates.
The Community and Events Fundraiser is a new role at YMCA Crewe; the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of community fundraising activities, increasing supporter contacts and writing particular funding bids. The post holder will be required to build strong working relationships with the local community, inspiring people to support our work. We are passionate and enthusiastic about our work and love an energetic “can do” attitude in staff.
This is a part time role, working 20 hours a week. This may include evening and weekend work.
The salary is £24,000 pro rata per annum.
